Magnusmade started in 2011 as my website for creative projects and all things that allow me to achieve greatness. The focus for this web destination is travel, food, writing, reading and drink. I typically post about my writing, travels, occasional cooking experiments, and even cocktail research — I’m teaching myself to mix a good drink.
I also blog about my experience in writing and promoting my debut novel The Love Fool and new writings I’m currently working on. All writing related posts can be found under the Writing category. Topics include writing, revising, editing, getting published, and publicity.
Thank you for visiting Magnusmade.

What is Magnusmade?
I created the word Magnusmade with the inspiration of the latin word ‘magnus’ (meaning great, magnificent). Therefore, something that is Magnusmade is made great, better and basically magnificent.
Why are my twitter and instagram handles @LorenzoMagnus?
Lorenzo Magnus (aka Lorenzo the Magnificent)
Magnus, meaning “Great” in Latin, was sometimes used as a first name among Romans. Concurrently, Ancient Roman emperors were sometimes referred to as [first name] Magnus (ex. Pompeii Magnus). In later years, the best known “Magnificent” was Lorenzo di Medici (aka Lorenzo the Magnificent); whom was known as the founder of the art and renaissance movement in Florence. Like di Medici, I am typically surrounded by artists and creative thinkers. Therefore, since my name is Lorenzo, I felt attaching myself with “Magnus” fits well. I mean, I know I’m magnificent, so why not? Right?
