Algonquin cocktail
A classic whiskey drink from the 1920s or 1930s... its history is unclear but I do know the name was inspired by the midtown Manhattan hotel.
- 1½ oz rye whiskey
- ¾ oz pineapple juice unsweetened
- ¾ oz dry vermouth white
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
No garnish necessary, but you could top with a dash of Peychaud's bitter if you prefer.
