The Berlino (or The Barber of Prenzlauer Berg)

A cocktail inspired by my novel A MISTAKE INCOMPLETE.

Ingredients Method Notes

Ingredients
  

  • 1½ oz. bourbon
  • ½ oz. Jägermeister
  • 2 tsp honey
  • club soda
  • 2 Luxardo cherries

Method
 

  1. Pour honey and Jägermeister into shaker without ice. Stir to mix well.
  2. Add ice and bourbon. Close shaker, and shake it up for 15 seconds.
  3. Sift into a coupe glass.
  4. Add a splash of club soda.
    (If you want to make a longer drink, pour into a highball and top with club soda.)
  5. Garnish with two Luxardo cherries on a toothpick.

Notes

The Berlino with Soda: To stretch out the drink for a long and less punchy sipper, mix the cocktail into a highball glass with ice, and top it off with club soda.
