I recently returned from a celebratory visit to Rome, in honor of completing my manuscript for my novel THE LOVE FOOL.
Many readers have asked me to share something about my yet-to-be-published book. But I am currently in the process of seeking representation and publication, so I’m hesitant.
After some thought, and pressure from eager readers, I figured ‘why not share a little description?’
Thank you and enjoy,
Lorenzo
THE LOVE FOOL is an entertaining narrative involving a publicist juggling the possibility of rekindling his past while trying to control the whirlwind antics surrounding his celebrity chef client. Italy’s modern culture and enchanting sights set the backdrop to this Rome-antic comedy. The story is targeted to readers that connect with food, travel and unrequited love.
Synopsis
Alex Corso recently moved to Italy for an opportunity at a PR firm in Rome. His first client is the beautiful Danish chef Pernille Björn – a popular model, TV chef and cookbook author just entering the booming TV cooking genre in Italy. Alex successfully manages Pernille’s public and TV appearances catapulting her to one of Italy’s beloved food personalities.
His focus on permanent employment is soon thwarted by a visit by Emily Whitehead – a college friend he hadn’t heard from in over seven years. Emily asks to visit him in Italy but doesn’t tell him why. The mystery triggers Alex to reflect on their past, diverting him from his new life.
THE LOVE FOOL is a fun, light read; inspired by true events from my personal life.
Potential Agents: The manuscript is 305 pages long containing over 82,600 words.
