It has been a while since I’ve shared about my travels. And I’d like to share my recent trip and first visit to New Orleans.
The city exceeded my expectations in many, many ways. I was excited to see the passion the locals had for their food, city and cocktails. They really love to talk about and share any new culinary experiences with people. In addition, it made me smile experiencing the dynamic of the mix of people from all backgrounds being together and making what is New Orleans.
But, of course, I must confess my main purpose was to taste some delicious and original cocktails of the city’s best locales and bartenders. This blog post and visit will launch my new Cocktails tab on Magnusmade.com. Under this new category, I will share my new ventures in teaching myself the art of mixing and my global research of what’s out there.
For the moment, I will soon share four separate posts recapping my first New Orleans visit. Look for them starting this weekend. [Pictured: The Bayou Bar in the Pontchartrain Hotel – Garden District.] – Links below.
Note: If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ve most likely been updated on the trip. However, each post includes more details.

Yes, you have to do it. But do it right. I kept away from the chaos that was Bourbon St (not for us) but I can surely give you some tips when you decide to go. Heck, I may even join! ha!!!
