Ginger Negroni Spritz

This festive-take on a Negroni was created for a special charity fundraiser episode of the livestream musical series Sips and Songs with Jacyn and Joey – which streamed on December 20th. I was honored to be a guest cocktail maker and offer this exclusive recipe.

Ginger Negroni Spritz

For this take on a quasi-Negroni, I swapped vermouth with Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur – a French liqueur made with ginger, vanilla, and honey, offering a sweet and spicy flavor to the drink.

I also spritz up the cocktail with some club soda, just for a touch of bubbly giggles. It is supposed to be a cheery time of year after all.

The final touches include an orange rind or wheel, and a cinnamon stick – which not only adds a cool aesthetic, but as it sits in the drink, the cinnamon carries through offering another layer of warmth to this cocktail.

Sips and Songs is a weekly musical livestream series produced and starring Boston’s renowned vocalist and piano duo Jacyn Tremblay and Joey Nicotera. The special December 20, 2020 holiday show will raise funds for Pathways for Children – a non-profit organization that offers social services for children and their families on the North Shore of Massachusetts.
