[Québec, Canada] – Located in an old warehouse attached to the Auberge Saint Antoine, Chez Muffy celebrates local Québécois ingredients via elegant presentations.

The space: Highlighting the structure of this former warehouse, Chez Muffy’s style is accentuated by exposed wood beams and rot iron stairway to its second level. The seating is a mix match of cushioned settees or high top chairs of velvet or patterned fabrics. The mini spot lighting angled in varied direction creates shadows along the exposed stone wall interior and the wood beams throughout. Complementing this mix matched yet sleek decor, is the hotel’s bar Artefact.
The food: The focus is local ingredients presented in an elegant high-end gourmet fashion. Pictured is the smoked salmon starter, with strawberries soaked in rose water, sitting on thin slices of radish. Sprinkled about the plate are drops of puréed turnips and a scattering of local wild rose petals . Also pictured, a summer dessert of strawberries, peas with thyme, accompanied by orgeat flavored gelato, sprinkled with almond crumble.
