This season, I am suggesting books that focus on self reflection. Sometimes reading a good story in which a character is experiencing moments of analyzing his/her own life helps us to do the same. We all tend to find ourselves in moments of wonder, and reading about how others cope or experience helps.
How Not To Die Alone Richard Roper I give props to the writer for the title. Immediately, it makes you wonder if this was a guide not to being alone. The story sparks some moments of self reflection through its quirky character and mishaps. Very enjoyable. Fiction ISBN: 978-0525539889
Crime & Punishment Fyodor Dostoyevsky A classic that one must be prepared to invest a lot of time into reading. But, let me tell you it was well worth it. Follow this man as drives himself practically insane with guilt. Fiction / Classic Literature ISBN: 978-0143107637
Emma Jane Austen The story is quirky and comical. But follow Emma closely as her perfect lovable life gets slaps of reality forcing her to understand herself. Fiction / Classic Literature ISBN: 978-0143107712 |
