Why I’m releasing this new edition…
Earlier this year, all of the rights for my debut novel The Love Fool have been reverted back to me from my publisher. Inkshares had a two-year exclusive contract for the novel, which ran out a few months back. Although, the publisher was willing to keep distributing my novel, I’ve decided to take the option to close the distribution contract and take full control.
My time with Inkshares has taught me a lot about the publishing process, including distribution, sales, marketing, and royalties. However, being that Inkshares is a small publisher (and that I had the minimal contract with them), I handled all of the marketing myself. Having an MBA in marketing and just being a marketing fanatic – I loved managing the publicity and promotion of this book; whether it was to bookshops or directly to readers, whom I really enjoyed meeting at book discussions and in-store events.
With that said, this new edition of The Love Fool will be re-released as the Book Club Edition with some additional material, published under my Magnusmade outfit; and it will still be distributed via Ingram so your favorite bookshops will be able to easily order for you.
