The Side Eye is another cocktail inspired by my debut novel THE LOVE FOOL.
This cocktail honors the plump black cat that frolicked among the ruins of Largo Argentina. I named it The Side Eye because of the surly look the cat gives to my main character Alex.
The drink’s structure is reminiscent of a Whiskey Sour, but with gin. I also added a dash of black pepper, a Luxardo cherry, and of course, some Cynar for that deep Italian twist.
